Position Summary
ZHCx is seeking a suitable candidate for a full-time Commissioning Technician position. The Commissioning Technician will report to the Commissioning Authorities and assist the CxA in day-to-day test writing, administration, reporting, and other project related commissioning activities.

Ability to cope with shift work as well as evening and weekend hours, because this is often required where equipment is in 24-hour operation.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Making improvements to and offering advice about operational procedures

Scheduling and coordinating work to strict deadlines

Ensuring that equipment works to its specification

Creating and carrying out test procedures

Investigating problems, diagnosing/repairing faults

Troubleshooting

Liaising with installation/project engineers

Supervising engineering and technical staff

Writing reports and documentation
-
Providing technical support
-
Ensuring safe working conditions
-
Training maintenance and operative staff where appropriate

Writing prefunctional and functional testing checklists
-
Implementing and overseeing on-site testing

Supporting commissioning authorities

A mixture of office and onsite time
Qualifications and Training Required
-
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.

2 years of field experience in commercial construction industry

Excellent computer skills including; Word, Excel, Outlook, Gmail, and typing.

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills required.

Experience with commercial HVAC and Lighting systems and/or commissioning related experience is preferred, but applicants with limited experience will also be considered.

Ability to climb ladders/stairs and to lift and carry loads in excess of 20 lbs. Able to be on a job site for extended periods of time (8-10 hours).

Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel within a (typical) 150-mile radius of our Florence office. ZHCx will reimburse mileage.
