As I have said many times before, I’m very impressed by the services of your company. The remarkable decrease in the energy use of the Library is extraordinary. I am amazed that simple changes, like removing extra light bulbs and configuring new exterior lighting, have brought such savings. If my memory holds, we’ve seen our average energy costs at all of our three buildings go down by 15% or more. These buildings were not constructed in the age, now ubiquitous, of “going green”… yet, with your oversight and guidance, we’ve exceeded the energy efficiency of buildings constructed much more recently that employ newer technology, construction methods, and building designs. Our cost savings in maintenance, however, are the real treasure. We’ve saved thousands of dollars in our regular maintenance costs. ...The Greene County Career Center first realized the extent of Chris Zerhusen’s talents during a near catastrophic HVAC freeze event that threatened to close our school for several months. Chris’s employer at the time had designed the system and when “the chips were down,” he was the one, despite not having any prior involvement in the project, that was dispatched to assist in the effort to save the system.  That single fact is a true testament to the character and work ethic that encompasses his professionalism.

Tama Wagner has really been a major help as we have tried to make sense of the lighting issues and lighting control problems in our new Facility Management building.  She has also dug deep into the Ballyshannon lighting control system, and is adding valuable insight that will provide a better product (and in the end, probably save us money!).  It truly has been an “above and beyond” effort by her, which isn’t a big surprise as she has given such extra effort many times before (helping Karen with rebates and other info, sitting in on lighting control training, volunteering at the Green Apple Day of Service at BCHS, putting up with my questions :>).
